Chrissie, 2 flashguns with colour gels inside church
Myself: 2 million candle power torch on church exterior and foreground
Exposure: 118 seconds

Image ingredients:
1 torch and 2 flashguns wilt gels
Chrissie and I
A camera and tripod

Hi Simon
Just wondering, do you switch the torch on and then off until you move to a new position, just that I can see two shadows from the gravestones as if they were lit from two directions, it must take a bit of running about during the two minutes exposure :)

Yes the torch is turned on used, tuned off, move position and on again and used etc, how many times and different directions depend on location and practicality etc, some I do from one position, especially if the ground is uneven and potentially dangerous to run around on.
This one was done from two positions, hence the shadows, well spotted ;)

Yes there is sometimes a fair bit of running about, its actually surprising what you can do in 2 minuets.

I learnt early on that buying a torch that is easy to switch on/off is a major benefit, some are a bit tricky, yes been there and lesson learned :P
